Pads need to be chosen ideally with pointe shoes, as they will affect their size. As a general rule, the thinner the padding, the better the contact of toes with the floor. Although thick padding will relieve the pressure of the toes as much as possible, it will also reduce the sensitivity, which is not ideal for ballet. Professionals choose A910 pads, which have silicone on only one side.
