When trying on these shoes, keep in mind that the leather will loosen and adapt to the shape of your foot as it warms up. It's similar with satin, but not as much as with leather. That's why it's not a good idea to buy shoes that are looser, because after you start dancing, they may be too loose and will restrict your movement. A dance shoe should be tighter so that you have a more confident step.
